Founded in Dallas, Texas, as Dal-Air Tool Company in 1966 by Oren Northcutt. Dal-Air relocated to its current location in Point, Texas, in 1969 and began business as Dal-Air Investment Castings in 1973 as the focus became more oriented towards the investment casting side of the business.

Upon the retirement of Oren Northcutt in 2007, the business was sold to Cathy and Steve Rhodes, who led Dal-Air through a period of sustained growth. In 2023, Dal-Air was acquired by KX3 Partners, who look to carry on the legacy of quality and exceptional service for which Dal-Air has become known.

The company has experienced sustained growth since its founding, requiring facility expansions in 1995 and again in 2002.

In 2007, the company revised its Quality Management System to meet ISO Standards and became certified for the first time. Dal-Air is currently ISO 9001:2015 certified.

Dal-Air Investment Casting has earned a strong reputation as a reliable supplier of quality investment castings and continuously seeks to improve each process throughout its operation.
